Customs Bonded Storage:
We maintain extensive bonded warehousing where import cargo can be stored duty-unpaid. Goods pending clearance or in transit to other countries are secured under customs control. This lets importers hold inventory without immediate duty payment, and exporters stage goods for shipment seamlessly.
Container & Depot Services:
Our licensed container depot handles stuffing, stripping, storage, repair and acquisition of empty containers. Whether you need to pack (stuff) export containers or unpack (strip) imports, our yard has specialized gear (reach-stackers, forklifts, cranes) and trained staff. We offer warehousing for empty containers and shipper depot services for lines like Maersk, MSC and Evergreen.
On-Site Inspections & Scanning:
Mutare Dry Port has full government presence on-site. ZIMRA customs officers, agricultural inspectors (phytosanitary services) and even a non-intrusive X-ray scanner are based at our terminal. As a result, all physical examinations of cargo happen inside our facility. You won’t face surprises at the border: your goods are examined, cleared and released right here.
Intermodal Transfer (Rail/Sea Link):
Thanks to our direct connection to the National Railways of Zimbabwe (NRZ), containers and goods can transfer directly between road and rail at MDP. This means you can ship pallets or containers to/from Beira by train without additional trucking. In effect, we extend the port inland – you move goods to Beira as if it were next door.
Shipping Line Depot Services:
We work closely with global carriers to handle empty containers. Our site serves as an official empty container depot where lines drop off or pick up units. This strengthens relationships with shipping lines, helps secure competitive freight rates, and gives you first pick of equipment.
